Description
Currently, the message contents are unserialized with unserialize(), which is AFAIK only supported natively by PHP. To make it easier to use the message queue with different platforms, more formats like JSON should be supported. Support for this would require to also store the serialization format/content type with the message, as is supported e.g. by RabbitMQ.
