Description
Hi,
the Sitemap with Menu type "Recently updated pages" does nothing show in the Frontend. I selected the root page as starting point, but there are no updates of pages shown.

i discovered also some misbehaviour of the update menu, though i could display something with root page start (but only one entry)
I will investigate.

Since #19762 introduced this negative side-effect and got reverted now, no change is required here.
