Description
I don't think the '--dev' composer should be recommended for anything else than installing for development. It is currently recommended on the download page's installation-instructions

I'll drop it from the documentation. The reason was the SiteKickstarter which used to be a dev requirement, but it is a regular requirements with https://review.typo3.org/19382
