Description
This is a new feature request for a "replace file" button in TYPO3 7.4.
I think this feature is a must have for many TYPO3 users, e.g. this "file replace" button existed in DAM and the editors want to replace a file on this way.
Because there is a feature freeze for TYPO3 6.2 please add this feature in core in 7.4.
This "replace file" button should only replace the existing file without replacing the name of the existing file (neither the filename nor the title or description).
In media extension it does a good job.
Please see https://forge.typo3.org/issues/56133 for a similar feature.
Please comment if you also want this feature ;-).
